Dr. Weber completed his medical training at the University of
Michigan Medical School in 1980 and orthopaedic residency training
at the University of California Davis School of Medicine in 1985.
As a recipient of the McDaniel's Award, he traveled to Basel,
Switzerland in 1985 to complete a fracture fellowship, followed in
1986 by an extensive arthroscopy fellowship with one of the
pioneers of shoulder arthroscopy, Dr. Richard Caspari. He is
board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Weber joined Sacramento Knee & Sports
Medicine in 1986, and has a practice emphasis on arthroscopic and
reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee, completing over
7000 arthroscopic shoulder reconstructions and 800 shoulder
arthroplasties. He has completed extensive shoulder
research, with over 120 published papers and abstracts, and more
than 320 national and international presentations. Honors
have included 3 nominations for the Neer Award for outstanding
clinical research by the American Shoulder and Elbow Society, as
well as international speaking engagements for the South American
Shoulder and Elbow Society and the Peruvian Shoulder and Elbow
Society.
His professional memberships include the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery; the California
Orthopaedic Association; the Western Orthopaedic Association; the
Arthroscopy Association of North America; the International
Arthroscopy Association; the American Orthopedic Society for
Sports Medicine; the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons;
corresponding member of the Peruvian Shoulder and Elbow Society;
the Global Total Shoulder Study Group; and the California Athletic
Trainer's Association. Dr. Weber is also a member of the
board of directors for the Arthritis Foundation, and a former team
physician for the University of California, Davis.
He is an avid sports participant in kayaking,
skiing, and surfing. |
