Tom received his Bachelor of Health Science
and Physician Assistant certification from the University of
Kentucky in 1995. In addition, he also received a Bachelor of
Science in Nursing from the University of Mobile in Alabama in
1986, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tulane University,
Louisiana in 1975. He was awarded the Physician Assistant Program
Clinical Excellence Award in 1994 and 1995, and was also President
of the Student Nursing Association in 1984 (Mobile) and included
in "Outstanding Young Men of America" in 1986. Professional
memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants,
the California Academy of Physician Assistants, Alpha Eta
Physician Honor Society, and is a charter member of Sigma Theta
Thu National Nursing Honor Society. Tom is certified in both
Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Tom joined Sacramento Knee & Sports Medicine
in 2004, bringing several years of sports medicine and orthopedic
experience to the practice. He joins the surgical team as a first
assistant in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery, and
participates in all aspects of the clinical setting.
Tom is an active bicycler, hiker, and runner. |
